DRB-HICOM Defence Technologies Sdn Bhd or DEFTECH is a wholly owned subsidiary of the DRB-HICOM Berhad. It has become one of the main suppliers of defence, security and commercial vehicles to the Malaysian Armed Forces and other Government & Quasi Government Agencies. It is now a one-stop centre to undertake the marketing & sales, assembly, manufacturing, fabrication, integration, upgrading refurbishment, maintenance, repair, service, retrofitting, Research & Development and the provision of spare parts for all categories of military and commercial vehicles.

Incorporated on 17th October 1996, DEFTECH was formed with the aim of pioneering the Nation’s Industrial Defence Potential. An expansion milestone was made on 1st June 2004 when DEFTECH established its Engineering Division, mainly focused on commercial vehicles & product development. To harness businesses, DEFTECH has entered into strategic partnership with a number of renowned international automotive and defence related land system manufacturers based on the value of integrity, open communication and teamwork.
